Life With Bird Spring/Summer 2012 collection

I recently attended LIFEwithBIRD's Spring/Summer 2012 presentation at the Sydney Opera House.  After attending last year's event I couldn't wait to see what LIFEwithBIRD's Bridget and Nick had in store for us this year.  The collection titled The Distance Between, commemorated LIFEwithBIRD's 10 year anniversary.  The collection was inspired by LIFEwithBIRD's journey, and in turn embraced the concept of evolution exploring the 'journey, process and outcome.' 

Australia's Next Top Model Winner, Montana opened the show in a simple, yet elegant printed silhouette.  Models strutted the Utzon Room, draped in digital prints inspired by 'cliff faces, sea spray and even Australia's ghost gum tree.'  LIFEwithBIRD's use of colour was unbelievable...pretty pastels including lilac and mint which I cannot wait to get my hands on!  LIFEwithBIRD remained true to their aesthetic with simple, effortless, soft and delicate pieces.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 2012

With less than three weeks to go till Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, I can barely hold back my excitement!  I will once again, be in attendance covering the fashion, the glamour and of course all the amazing shows.  This year's event opens with the return of Romance was Born, whilst Ginger and Smart will be celebrating 10 years. Fashion Week regulars will include Zimmermann, Lisa Ho, Alice McCall, Ellery, Josh Goot, Bec and Bridge, Miss Unkon, Michael Lo Sordo, Manning Cartell, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Maree, Kooey and the return of Camilla, Aurelio Costarella, Jayson Brunson and Ksubi.  However, it's amazing to see how many newcomers are set to make a solo debut.  For the first time there will be a separate Men's show and Dion Lee will be showing at night.  Fernando Frisoni will be closing this year's event with a Masquerade show.  Bloggers will be out in full force with a rumoured visit from Leandra editor of my favourite blog, The Man Repeller!  We also welcome new sponsors Maybelline New York.  And yes I've left the best till last....Whitney Port is coming and she is actually showing...I know right, at Australian Fashion Week... totally insane!  Stay tuned for more details over the next few weeks and for constant updates check out my FACEBOOK and TWITTER pages.

Olivia Palermo was recently spotted front row at Fashion Week Fall 2012...from Marchesa, to Dior, Topshop, Tibi, Mulberry, Rachel Zoe and Rebecca Minkoff, just to name a few! Olivia was dressed in this season's three emerging trends...crop printed pants, wet look/leather leggings and denim.

Taylor Swift for Harper's Bazaar Australia

Taylor Swift is unstoppable!  This time, she is gracing the cover of Harper's Bazaar Australia April 2012 dressed in Gucci.  The seven page editorial spread features Taylor dressed in Tom Ford, Proenza Schouler, Alexander McQueen, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Miu Miu and even Kayne West.

Front Row at Fashion Week: Poppy Delevingne

She's Poppy Delevingne and I love her style!  Poppy was spotted front row at Fashion Week Fall 2012...from Louis Vuitton to Chanel, Topshop Unique, Burberry and Matthew Williamson just to name a few!

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012

If Christopher Bailey wants it to storm, then a storm is what he will get!  Burberry's Fall 2012 collection is country/forest like.  From floral, to tees with animal imagery, pencil skirts with a diagonal ruffle, tweed, velvet, bows, puff jackets, metallic fringing and of course Burberry's signatory trechcoats.  Burberry's Fall 2012 finale definitely left the audience amazed... with an extraordinary artificial thunder storm!
