Trend: Faux Fur and Animal Print

"I think every woman should have a piece of leopard, but not every woman will wear leopard. You have to have courage to wear leopard." Rachel Zoe  Are you ready to channel your inner Rachel Zoe?  Rachel's signatory leopard print and faux fur classics seem to have created a little fashion frenzy!  Left, right and centre.. on the runway, front row, street fashion and of course all your favourite celebrities are embracing this 1970's revolutionary trend.  The leopard and faux fur trend has been slowly sneaking into the fashion world, however, now it's been taken to a whole new level!  We're only half way through fashion week and the faux fur and leopard trend has completely taken over, not only on the runway, but also front row.  And How to wear this trend?
The minimalistic approach
A little unsure about how the trend will work for you?  Try opting for an accessory like a bag, shoes or scarf.

Feeling a little more game?  Try experimenting with fur and leopard.  Purhaps a leopard dress?  Or mixing and matching both leopard and fur?  Or for something a little different matching fur with a maxi dress, yes a huge trend at Fashion Week!

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011- Marchesa

It feels like it's been forever since I posted as I've had exams at university.  It is however,  that time of the year again...fashion week internationally!  Fashion week is one of my favourite times of the year, especially New York Fashion Week!  Thought I'd share with you are few of my favourite collections from fashion week starting of course with a post on Marchesa!  Is it my imagination, or has every celebrity worn a Marchesa recently?  Do you blame them?  Every season I wait in anticipation to see what gorgeous pieces Marchesa grace us with.  This Spring/Summer 2011 season, they most definitely did not disappoint, maintaining their feminine and exquisite Marchesa signature through the use of pretty tulle, embriodery, beading and ruffles.  Here are a few of my favourites..
And what's better than a Marchesa show?  A Marchesa after party!  And who was in attendance?  My favourites... Rachel Zoe, Tinsley Mortimer and Olivia Palermo!

Pretty in Hot Pink

Hot pink, a colour that could cause a major fashion disaster if not worn correctly!  As colour, such as hot pink is a big trend this season, what is the best way to wear it?  Take a cue from Manhattan Socialite Tinsley Mortimer (you may remember her when she guest stared on Gossip Girl).  This number is total perfection!  It amazes me how well she incorporates hot pink into the outfit.  The contrast between the navy Dior dress and the hot pink shoes, whilst complimented with the hot pink bag is genius!  She has given hot pink that classy edge!  Embrace the Tinsley look, add a touch of pink (like an accessory) and contrast it with a basic colour (like navy and lilac) whilst keeping the outfit simple (like a simple dress).  Let the focal point of your outfit be that dash of colour, which gives that unexpected twist to your outfit!
