Jayson Brunsdon Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2015

'A Rose is a Rose'.... the quote that defined Jayson Brunsdon's Spring/Summer 2015 Collection.  As I walked into the show, I was greeted with endless red roses and black garden benches. A romantic scene that set the mood for a glamorous show.  According to Jayson, the collection embraced a romantic and rebellious spirit, raw glamour and an expression of individuality.  The collection included tulle skirts, lace, bows, sequins and of course, a rose motif.  Jayson also debuted his first men's collection.  One of my favourite parts, was the finale, where thousands of 'paper rose petals' fell from the ceiling.  I'm pretty sure I'm still finding them in my bag!  Here are a few of my favourite snaps!

Nana Judy - MBFWA 2012

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2012 definitely went out on a high!  Nana Judy's Spring/Summer 2012 collection was raw, edgy and fun...tees and denim jackets, jeans and vests. Special guests, Amy Meredith sang their hits live, whilst model's struted the runway.

Kooey Australia - MBFWA 2012

This year, guests at Kooey Australia, were treated to Kooey's S/S 2012/13 collection, a collaboration with Miss Universe Australia, Scherri-Lee Biggs and a Men's S/S 2012/13 collection.  Kooey's S/S 2012/12 collection remained true to Kooey's asthetic inspired by Australian native culture.
The Scherri Lee for Kooey collection was inspired by Australian summer and all things fun and feminine.  Whilst Kooey's signatory elements were prominent, this collection was girly with the use of a pastel colour palette.

Life With Bird Spring/Summer 2012 collection

I recently attended LIFEwithBIRD's Spring/Summer 2012 presentation at the Sydney Opera House.  After attending last year's event I couldn't wait to see what LIFEwithBIRD's Bridget and Nick had in store for us this year.  The collection titled The Distance Between, commemorated LIFEwithBIRD's 10 year anniversary.  The collection was inspired by LIFEwithBIRD's journey, and in turn embraced the concept of evolution exploring the 'journey, process and outcome.'
Australia's Next Top Model Winner, Montana opened the show in a simple, yet elegant printed silhouette.  Models strutted the Utzon Room, draped in digital prints inspired by 'cliff faces, sea spray and even Australia's ghost gum tree.'  LIFEwithBIRD's use of colour was unbelievable...pretty pastels including lilac and mint which I cannot wait to get my hands on!  LIFEwithBIRD remained true to their aesthetic with simple, effortless, soft and delicate pieces.
