It's that time of the season again. It only felt like yesterday that I worked at the David Jones Autumn/Winter launch and now despite all the controversy, the David Jones Spring/Summer 2010 collections took to the runway. Unlike previous season's extravagant events at Fox Studios, this season's event was more intimate and took place at the David Jones Elizabeth Street store. The closed event included an array of fashion elite including, Megan Gale, Kate Waterhouse, Jodhi Meares, Erika Heynatz, Alex Perry, Sarah Jane Clarke (Sass and Bide), Alannah Hill, Dion Lee, Camilla and Marc, Carla Zampatti, the Zimmermann sisters and that's just the start. But what fascinated me more this season wasn't fashion's elite, it was the models gracing the runway. Miranda Kerr's absence left the fashion world curious as to her replacement. They were big shoes to fill and David Jone's did not disappoint! The elite model line up included my favourite Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil, Alexandra Agoston and Nicole Trunfio (the rumoured new face of David Jones). And let's not forget Australia's current up and comers, such as Samantha Harris, Louise Van der Vorst, and Meg Lindsay.
Australia's favourite models graced the runway wearing Australia's favourite designers!
