The Pyjama/Boudoir Edit x Farfetch.com

The Pyjama/Boudior trend is a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2016.  The trend has graced the runways of Dolce and Gabbana, Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Celine and Alexander Wang.  Celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Whitney Port, Karlie Kloss and Rihanna, have embraced the trend creating their own little spin.  When it comes to styling the Pyjama/Boudior trend, you can either embrace the complete look, or can incorporate pieces with your everyday wardrobe.  Like Selena and Whitney, you can embrace the complete trend and wear your pieces from day to night, and of course, bed.  Alternatively, you can opt for a more subtle approach like Gigi and Kendall.  Kendall has added a basic tee with her slip dress, while Gigi has added a bomber jacket (another staple this season) with her slip dress.
I've picked out a few of my favourite Pyjama/Boujoir trend pieces.  I've also included a few beauty picks to complement your look.  All pieces are available via FARFETCH.COM.

Trend: Faux Fur and Animal Print

"I think every woman should have a piece of leopard, but not every woman will wear leopard. You have to have courage to wear leopard." Rachel Zoe  Are you ready to channel your inner Rachel Zoe?  Rachel's signatory leopard print and faux fur classics seem to have created a little fashion frenzy!  Left, right and centre.. on the runway, front row, street fashion and of course all your favourite celebrities are embracing this 1970's revolutionary trend.  The leopard and faux fur trend has been slowly sneaking into the fashion world, however, now it's been taken to a whole new level!  We're only half way through fashion week and the faux fur and leopard trend has completely taken over, not only on the runway, but also front row.  And How to wear this trend?
The minimalistic approach

Covergirl's 50th Anniversary

Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Taylor Swift and Sophia Bush!  And who is the latest Covergirl?.. Taylor Swift of course!

The year that was 2010

And so it is the end of fashion and celebrities for 2010....And what a year it has been!  Personally, my highlight, was being a part of my very first Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.  This included meeting an array of fashion's elite, that I could only dream of meeting!  I will never forget Romance was Born's magical jungle show and Dion Lee's exquisite, elegant show at the Opera House!  Dion Lee was definitely a stand out in Australian Fashion this year.
The year in fashion started off on a low note as we farewelled iconic fashion legend Alexander McQueen.  Things then took a weird turn, yes Lady Gaga challenged 'fashion' and accepted her VMA wearing a meat outfit, which included shoes and a headpiece.  Anna Wintour shocked everyone when she placed Halle Berry on the cover of the September Issue of Vogue, as this was the first African American on this issue since 1989.  Sydney participated in their very first Fashion's Night Out, which was followed by their opening of the new Westfield Sydney.  Whitney Port visited Australia during L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the nation stopped when Opera came.  We celebrated the weddings of Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie, Katy Perry and Russell Brand and of course Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom.. Not forgetting that Miranda Kerr announced she was pregnant, as well as fashion queen Rachel Zoe!  Heidi Klum hung up her Victoria's Secret wings and Sarah Murdoch announced Kelsey as the winner of Australia's Next Top Model instead of Amanda.  Taylor Swift took over world and we bid farewell to 'The Hills'.  And as for reality tv?  Let's just say it was taken to a whole new level, where we all learnt the meaning of 'GTL'..  Kim Kardashian got named the highest paid reality tv star earning over $6million in 2010, followed by Lauren Conrad, the Kardashian sisters, Audrina Patridge, Bethenny Frankel, Kendra Wilkinson and Pauly D and Mike from Jersey Shore.  Did I miss anything?  Possibly the fact that we all witnessed some of the most amazing collection this year on a local and international front!  I can't wait to see the world of fashion and celebrities for 2011.
Happy New Year my Lilac Mannequin followers!

'A Hollywood Ending'

It all began in Laguna Beach, where we watched young Lauren Conrad 'LC', finish her senior year.  We all fell in love with Lauren and followed her to Los Angeles and watched her live her fashion dreams.  And so it began.. the very first season of 'The Hills.'  When I think back to first season, I think Teen Vogue, Lauren and Jason, Heidi and Jordan, Bolthouse, Whitney, Audrina and well life was pretty good.  Six seasons later and a lot has changed!  We've witnessed the highs and the lows, the drama, fights and the glamour.  We were introduced to some unforgettable characters like Spencer and Justin Bobby.  We felt Lauren's pain as we watched her closest friends such as Heidi and Jen betray her and watched her realise her true friends like Whitney and Lo.  We watched them all fall in love, we watched the heartbreak.  We listened to Lauren's words of wisdom and watched her be re-united with blasts from the past.  We followed Lauren and Whitney through the crazy fashion world, from their internship at Teen Vogue to guidance of Kelly at People's Revolution.  We watched the infamous Speidi wedding and watched Heidi turn into Malibu Barbie.  We said goodbye to Whitney as she left for 'The City'.  And we watched Lauren hand over 'The Hills' to Kristin and we knew things would never be the same again.  Now six seasons later, it has all come to an end, where 'The Hills' cast joined together for one last time for the finale of the very last season.  Whilst Australian fans are at the begininning of the end, American fans said goodbye for the very last time as the finale aired less than a week ago.
Everyone was in attendance, even Lauren and Whitney returned!!  Except where were Heidi and Spencer?  Whitney and Lauren looked amazing as usual!  Here a few photos from the finale as well as a few of my favourites from the past seasons of 'The Hills'.
